| Hurley: Hurley is cool vibrant brand that keeps the Coast beach culture alive in every product. It started as a surfboard company but it grew to be a representation of style, youth and surf culture. It all began in 1979, when the Hurley Surfboards opened in Costa Mesa. A few years later, the Hurley Surfboards was a very respected company in the business and its owner, Bob Hurley was creating boards for the best surfers around.
After the experimentation with Billabong, an Australian clothing brand; Bob saw a whole new world of necessities and possibilities, and a new concept of ?surf brand? rose. New thinking and different ideas were the impulse to launch Hurley, a brand that not only transmitted the essence of the love for ocean and its constant state of change, it also included a great amount of characteristics loved and wanted by their future audience. Music, art, skate, snow and fashion started to appear in every design, reaching ?surfers? everywhere; new technologies and Internet gave the consumer more power which meant an instant increase in Hurley?s popularity. Since then, every step they take, every decision they make has been a complete asset. |
