These shoes have soles that are indescribably good for traction on asphalt shingles. They are a foam type rubber onb the bottom similar to the famous "Cougar Paw" Shoes used by roof sales people and insurance adjusters. I am a seamless rain gutter installer and appreciate these shoes because they give me confidence to stand on the edge of a steep roof and I know that they wont slip.
