Mine don't squeak. They do make a click when you walk on tiled flroos, softer than a click from high heels, but they aren't silent like my Nike shoes. I love them so far. I don't feel anything in the glutes. I do feel my calves working all the time, and I feel my hamstrings only when going uphill or upstairs. It's definitely more than what I feel in my Nike running shoes.
